The attraction in Utah in February is skiing. Two years ago I heard a local say with great sincerity that he had experienced “half a dozen once-in-a-lifetime days” at Alta in the month of February.
The University Guest House and Conference Center is within an hour drive of seven major ski areas including Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird, Park City, the Canyons, Deer Valley, and Alta. One of several "Ski Buses" will pick you up at the Guest House (or at any of the downtown hotels) and deliver you to the slopes and then take you back to your hotel at the end of the day for a relatively low price. If you are a skier there is no better time to take a few extra days before or after the conference to enjoy yourself.
