International Seminar 2008-2009- Great Cities of the Middle East
A truly unique seminar for educators and interested others.
This year the International Seminar will focus on some of the great cities of the Middle East- Cairo, Alexandria, Baghdad, Tehran, jeruslaem, Beirut, Casablanca, Damascus, istanbul, Dubai, Riyadh---all historically significant and all very different.
We will look at some of the traditions, heroes, literature, geography, politics, and development of key cities in the Middle East, with the intention of putting together a trip to the region.
Come experience this fascinating and varied part of the world in a course that includes presentations by invited scholars, videos, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and discussions. The purpose is to provide K-12 educators with classroom relevant information and activities that can be easily used.
